The Best Management Practices (BMP) Summit for Water & Wastewater Utilities was established in 2021 with the following purpose:
To provide online educational opportunities for employees of water and wastewater utilities, and
To raise funds for two amazing organizations, The Safe Water Project and The Groundwater Project.
Several water, wastewater and environmental sector experts were quick to agree to collaborate on this worthwhile initiative, and share their experiences, strategies and knowledge in their areas of expertise.

The funds raised through the 2026 BMP Summit alone were able to help 77 families in East Africa get safe water purifiers for their households. These locally constructed and installed purifiers are able to provide sustainable access to safe water for many years to come!
