Christie manufactures cinema solutions including projectors (like the one used to screen SWSV’s annual impact film festival at the Apollo Cinema in Kitchener, Canada). In 2012, a Christie engineer was part of a team mentoring the safe water social venture projects in South Sudan and refurbishing solar panels on the roof of an orphanage to return them to service (photo below).
In 2023, and also in 2025, Christie’s contributions to the Impact Film Festival (IFF) collectively sponsored 18 families to help them purchase water purifiers for their homes , that will sustainably provide safe water access for many years.
Christie has been a sponsor of IFF in 2023 and 2025. Their film projector technology has been in use at the Apollo Cinema where the IFF events have taken place.
